Some Redskins Comment on The Acquisitions; Then There's Rocky McIntosh
Even though the activity level in the building is much higher than it has been, and even though the media presence has increased enormously (from "zero" to "a whole lot"), there still aren't that many players here. Still, it seemed worthwhile to see if any of them had anything interesting to say about last night's two big signings.
Mostly, no.
Kedric Golston was excited about Albert Haynesworth, his new defensive linemate:

(That's Intern Bridgette asking the question, by the way -- I haven't undergone a startling and unexpected voice change.)
Chris Samuels was also enthusiastic about Haynesworth, but you couldn't hear him on the video with Golston shouting in the background.

All pretty much as you'd expect, really -- guys are unlikely to come out and say, "I hate the signing, I hate the guy, and it's a terrible move."
But if there's one guy you can count on to give you something at least slightly different from what you'd expect, it would be linebacker Rocky McIntosh. And he didn't disappoint here. It's nothing so lively as the example above, but it's perfectly entertaining to watch the "stock answers to interview questions" machine in his brain go a little haywire.

Not quite as spontaneous as the Cooley brothers' mistaking Shaun Rogers for Albert Haynesworth, but amusing enough.

Similarly, Byron Westbrook was pleased with the team locking down fellow cornerback DeAngelo Hall.

Hahaha, that's priceless. I wonder if he couldn't hear her or if he'd memorized a couple answers to questions and just went with those first. Hilarious.

The post is reporting that we let Springs go. Any truth to that, Matt?

ESPN980 had a good interview with Springs today.

Dockery -- the last I heard he was visiting in, I think, Detroit, but that he's on the team's radar.

Thanks for the Dockery update. I'm a little bummed. NFL Network stated that the SKINS were negotiating with him today.
Keep the "hot of the wire" info coming.

When he's healthy Springs was the MOST physical corner we had. It's sad to see him go. I hope Hall, Rogers, and Smoot learned some things from him. Curious to see how today's moves pan out for this team.
For $154 MILLION....we better all be watchin' Redskin football come January!!!
